We pride ourselves on providing the very highest standard of friendly and personalized dental care, and we absolutely believe in using the newest technologies to the full.
These advanced technologies help us deliver even better patient-oriented care, so that you can receive faster, more comfortable and more accurate diagnoses.
During your visit you will likely meet Lisa, our highly experienced clinical assistant, as she is often found operating this technology alongside Dr. Chad. Here is a quick overview of some of the technology you may experience, a little about how each works, and how we’re leading the way in providing advanced dental care in the De Pere and Green Bay area.
Intra-Oral Camera
An intra-oral camera is a tiny camera that captures detailed images in your mouth which are displayed on-screen in the exam room. You see what we see! These images are invaluable in explaining your oral health and treatment options. Our patients find these images immensely helpful in understating their care and dental recommendations.
Joint Vibration Analysis
Jaw joint problems such as temporomandibular joint disorders (TMJ) are quite common. Joint vibration analysis is a biofeedback device that analyzes your temporomandibular joints in a way that is quick and non-invasive. Dr. Chad uses this information to diagnose and treat TMJ disorders, such as clicking or popping jaws, teeth grinding, and migraines. It’s useful for planning other dental treatments such as full mouth rehabilitation, aligning your teeth for bite correction, and beautifully functional smile makeovers.
Cone Beam Computerized Tomography (CBCT) Scanner
Conventional dental x-rays capture 2-D images of your teeth and jaws, but a CBCT scanner captures 3-D images which Dr. Chad uses to create a 3-D model of your skull. CBCT scans are frequently used to plan dental implants, providing a detailed image of your nerves, jawbone and soft tissues for precision tooth replacement treatment. A CBCT scan is very quick and non-invasive, all you need do is remain still for a few seconds while the machine moves around you.
Digital Dental X-Rays
Digital X-rays are an amazing advancement in dental technology; they are faster, safer and more environmentally friendly. Once taken, the digital dental images are instantly viewable on the screen in our treatment rooms and can be magnified if necessary. Digital x-rays allow Dr. Chad to quickly and accurately diagnose any dental health needs and procedure recommendations.
Tekscan
Tekscan is a sophisticated and computerized biofeedback device designed to measure your bite and biting forces. A healthy bite helps to reduce tooth fractures and other complications, so this technology is especially helpful in highlighting problem areas requiring treatment.
Multi-Wave Locked System (MLS) Laser
A non-invasive dental treatment, which uses two lasers to help relax facial and jaw muscles. When stress, strain or injury occur the MLS dental laser can reduce inflammation by delivering a beam of photons, which stimulates growth and regeneration on a cellular level. We find this treatment very useful after surgical procedures and when treating TMJ disorders.
