The Denture Process at Fox View Dental
Consultation
At your initial visit, Dr. Yenchesky will conduct a comprehensive exam of your mouth. He evaluates your oral health, reviews your medical history, and discusses your goals for dentures. If you’re having dental implants placed, you’ll schedule the placement appointment at this time.
Dr. Yenchesky then takes impressions of your gums and remaining teeth. He’ll send these off to create custom dentures that perfectly fit your mouth.
Fittings
You’ll come back for multiple fittings to ensure the right shape, size, color, and bite alignment. The Fox View Dental team makes any necessary adjustments for optimal comfort. Once the dentures are complete, you’ll return for a final appointment to insert your new dentures.
Follow Up
Dr. Yenchesky will teach you how to properly insert, remove, and care for your dentures. He’ll also schedule follow-up visits to inspect their fitness and their oral health. Don’t hesitate to call if you ever experience discomfort, breaks, or other problems with your dentures.
Adjustment Period
Many patients need a period of adjustment to get used to dentures. Practicing speaking, chewing, and inserting or removing dentures takes time. With perseverance and the Fox View Dental team’s support, you’ll quickly adapt to your new smile.
