The Dental Implant Surgery Process at Fox View Dental
Initial Consultation
Dr. Yenchesky will begin with a thorough evaluation of your dental and medical history and conduct exams of your teeth, gums, and jawbone. He’ll take x-rays and make impressions to gain an in-depth view of your mouth’s unique anatomy. Once Dr. Yenchesky determines you’re a good candidate, it’s time for dental implant placement.
Dental Implant Surgery
On the dental implant surgery day, you’ll receive local anesthesia and sedation dentistry before Dr. Yenchesky makes small openings in the gums to expose the jawbone. With precision, he’ll insert the tiny implant posts into carefully planned positions.
He’ll then suture the gums closed over the implant sites to allow the titanium implants to securely bond with the jawbone. You’ll wear temporary dentures during this period to protect your teeth and gums after dental implant surgery.
Healing and Osseointegration
The osseointegration process following dental implant surgery takes three to six months on average. After the implants have fully fused with the bone, they’re ready to be restored with permanent replacement teeth.
Finalizing Your Restorations
Dr. Yenchesky will connect abutments to the implants and take impressions of your bite. Our skilled implant dentistry technicians will use these to craft natural-looking crowns, bridges, or dentures that precisely fit the abutments and your mouth. At insertion appointments, Dr. Yenchesky will ensure the optimal fit, comfort, and performance of your dental implant restorations.
With proper care, your implants can last decades, giving you back your health, function, and confidence. Don’t hesitate to call us at (920) 336-4201 if you experience discomfort or have any implant concerns.
