We wanted to send out a friendly reminder to utilize your insurance benefits and flexible spending for 2019 as the year is quickly coming to a close.  If you have not utilized your dental benefits or health savings account, now is a great time to schedule an appointment. We try to accommodate every patient with expiring insurance benefits; however, inevitably our schedule fills up quickly as the end of the year approaches.

Insurance plans and flexible spending accounts can be confusing, here is how it works:

• You are assigned a certain dollar amount of benefits each year
• Any unused benefit will not carry over to the next calendar year
• Example: if you have $500 of benefits left for 2019 and you don’t use it before December 31, 2019, to help pay for your dental treatment, you will lose that $500 of benefits
